My lady friend brought me a few of those over last night.
They didnt have much to do with no bass bag, though.
It was still a pretty tight fit.

A DB is not put together with a carpenters ordinary glue (the white stuff) it is glued with bone glue. The solvent is water!

So be careful when raining. High strain in the body can break up the joints with help of water.

I thought it was hide glue, and it was softened with heat. . . I honestly don't know, so please forgive me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, Boston is getting pummeled with bucketfuls of dihydrogenous monoxide as I type this, and I'm late for practice. Hopefully, it'll let up enough for me to get my bass to the T soon. Hopefully the bag does its job

You can get a can of spray on silicone from a camping store. It is used to make tents waterproof.

Spray a few coats on your case. Put it on extra thick on the upper parts where the rain would hit it the most.

Be sure to spray it on outside, it stinks and is not good for your lungs.

You might want to carry around a couple of garbage bags in case, as well.

Go to see a custom textile manufacturer or even a clothes maker to see if they can do you a custom throw-over cover out of a waterproof.

At a quick glance it should only take 3 pieces of material sewn together to get a rough shape that would fit over the bass.

Or do what I do and make it yourself
