Want a five string, price range $500-1000; what does TB suggest?

Ibanez, Spector 'Wick and Schecter are all gonna be pretty "tight" feeling in regard to spacing vs. the EB/MM and Lakland.

IMHO, feel is >>> than negligible differences in tone. You want to want to pick up and jam on your bass, not just "get through it" because it sounds pretty good... or your e-peen is at stake...

I'm happy on either my NS-5 or my SR5, which is good b/c they both sound rad in different ways.

G&L L-2500 Tribute is a great bass in that price range. Fantastic range of tones. You can probably find a USA one used in that range, too.
