That’s right, it left Savannah Tenn. April 4th and it’s the 26th of April.
It’s still in “transition”.

I spoke to a good guy at the Post Office but He was response was they are backlogged down there.

Yeah, I have since received a refund for this item.

I will take FedEx any day over this.

I ordered a bass from a local shop in an LA suburb. They put in FedEx the same day to ship from LA to Nashville.

I watch the tracking and it makes it to their hub in Memphis. Great . . . . and then it makes a U-Turn and goes back to it's origin back in LA.

Really?

I call them, the guy says '. . . that's weird even for us . . . .' and they Overnite it on their nickel, and it shows up the next day.

Bought with no case, the box looks bad, and I make the guy wait while I open it.

It was perfect. Go figure . . .

I think I've reported on this before... but FedEx has a box of Gatorade Propel packets floating somewhere around the NW in one of their trucks.. going on two years now.

I've also watched their truck driving off (looking out of the window while working from home when I heard the engine start up) with a parcel of mine, website claiming "unable to deliver." More than once, more than five or six times.

Idunno if it's staffing or a culture of lacking care for private residential purchases/deliveries, but they apparently really didn't want me to ever give them my money again, so I haven't.

I am from Austria, Europe. I've always thought "There are no kangaroos in Austria" is a lame joke to make fun of american tourists. Until I've ordered from the US and my parcel arrived in Europe but then was shipped to Perth, Australia. Distance from delivery address: 13.276 km.

Europeans remember: There are no kangaroos in Austria!

Similar problem last year with something. It finally arrived.

As a side note, just moved out of Georgetown, TX permanently. Just growing too fast for me. I will miss the proximity to great music out of Austin.

I had a similar experience. I sold a bass on Reverb. I did everything I needed to do and shipped it out within hours of getting the sale. And of course I notified the new owner that their new bass was on the way and being so close it should be there in 2 days. The next day there's a knock on the door and the UPS man wants a signature cause he's brought my bass back to me. No real reason.... just cause they messed up somehow.

Yep, all shipping experiences that happen all too often. I had a package ship from Indiana and one from Chile. They arrived the same day; same carrier.

Shipping these days is a total gamble. I have been mostly lucky, but at any time…and usually the item that I absolutely need to arrive in one piece (private Guitar or amp sale), it can go south. It’s just a matter of odds as to which shipment and when…not if.

I worked on cruise ships for a few years. As an American, I appreciated the US tourist jokes while touring Europe, including: "Why are all the buildings around here so old?" I also appreciated it when the French waiters would automatically bring bottles of ketchup to the tables with all of the American musicians. Good natured ribbing, but also pretty spot-on.
