War against hi-midrange feedback

Sunn company was purchased by Fender.
In year 2001 they offer model T and model 300T (and some cabinets) by mark sunn.
Later Sunn 300 T was renamed to Fender Bassman 300T.
Now is redesigned to classic fender design as Fender Bassman Pro.
Model T for quitar is discontinued.
Hovercraft from portland/oregon can make amp which sounds very close to original model T. I own one.
 
you will be better off with a 31 band eq...this way you can notch out the specific frequencies that you want....

I think this will work. A 15 band graphic won't give you enough control. A parametric would be nice, but i think the graphic will be faster to cut a problem frequency during performance or a rushed sound check.
Dbx and a few other brands make a single rack space 31 band graphic. Run it through your effects loop, and it should not mess up your tone at all.
 
I Was testing dbx1231 Today .... I combination with volume pedal is ok.
1khz frequency made by pickups is puttimg down, is minimal diferenče between originál and eq sound. Except freaky feedback.
I don't needed parametric eq is too difficult to set up during souncheck - we don't want to have longer soundcheck than performance. I wil bug dbx231 - is similar to dbx1231 but lightweight and 2 rack u.

Volume pedal solve all another anoying feedbacks.

Do you agree or some reason to buy 1231 instead of 231 ?
 
Feedback is a loop between a source and a speaker , in Theory , I repeat : IN THEORY , the closest to the speaker , the higher the frequency.

If you want lower feedback , try getting farther ....... but you'll need a mega Super Duper Sh** load of power.

A low E wave lenght is 8,4 meter , hope wou have a big rehersal room !

Not only amplitude (volume) , the distance between the source and the speaker will change the pitch (frequency)

In this example, a signal received by the microphone is amplified and passed out of the loudspeaker. The sound from the loudspeaker can then be received by the microphone again, amplified further, and then passed out through the loudspeaker again. The frequency of the resulting sound is determined by resonance frequencies in the microphone, amplifier, and loudspeaker, the acoustics of the room, the directional pick-up and emission patterns of the microphone and loudspeaker, and the distance between them. For small PA systems the sound is readily recognized as a loud squeal or screech."
 
his problems are with high-pitched squealing, so very short waves; the length of a low E wave has nothing to do with anything here, i think.

it is true that with the lower frequencies distance matters, you can change whether you're in a crest or trough of a low-mid feedback wave by moving a few feet forward or back. this is more of an issue with acoustic guitars and such.
 
I'm with Walt on this. Sounds a lot like microphonic electronics in the bass... Before making the rig more complex I would sort out the instrument and then if necessary add more stuff to the rig... If you really want to add EQ, the parametric would be my choice as it can get more surgical than a graphic and unless it is a real god graphic - likes ones I can't afford, making extreme adjustments on 1 slider can create issues with the surrounding freqencies.

Pickups, pots and wiring and while you're in there revisit your shielding. I mean what the heck, it's all apart at that point anyway. Might as well be tight about it ;-)
