Has anyone mentioned Inglorious Basterds?

Just finished watching it...freakin' incredible!

A completely reimagined...and plausible...end to WWII.

Anyone remember this classic?....The Beast

A Soviet tank unit led by Commander Daskal (George Dzundza) destroys a village in Afghanistan in 1981. Taj (Steven Bauer), a member of the village, vows revenge and pursues him, along with the mujahideen. Meanwhile, the radical Daskal turns violent against his unit when he murders the tank crewman (Erick Avari) for his Afghan ethnicity and leaves tank driver Koverchenko (Jason Patric) to be killed by the mujahideen. Taj, however, offers Koverchenko sanctuary for his assistance against the unit.

This one was great!........ 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi

On Sept. 11, 2012, Islamic militants attack the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, killing Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and Sean Smith, an officer for the Foreign Service. Stationed less than one mile away are members (James Badge Dale, John Krasinski, Max Martini) of the Annex Security Team, former soldiers assigned to protect operatives and diplomats in the city. As the assault rages on, the six men engage the combatants in a fierce firefight to save the lives of the remaining Americans.

Blackhawk Down. No romance, no oscarbait scenes, no politics, just lots of action and enjoyable characters.
Also Full Metal Jacket is a classic. Excellent from start to finish.

Yes, I'm ashamed of myself for forgetting that one. Wonderful film. Adolph Caesar was fantastic in it.. (He died just two years later.)

Hell, everyone was fantastic in it. just great cast all around.
