First experience with a Warmoth product and I'm already in love!

Pot holes still need to be drilled. Anyone have suggestions as to tone/volume/blend config. before I make it permanent?

two volumes and a tone in a straight row just like they are on the guitar version. looks like you custom ordered - how long was the wait?

Congrats. Looks like you've got some fun ahead.

My suggestion would be to stay passive and use a vol/blend/tone. Three knobs, no switches.

Have fun and post the finished project.

Arrived today, ordered it back on July 25th. Yeah three knobs, no switches, and passive is what I was thinking, too.

What's everyone's fav pickup maker these days?

One other question - will the brass nut solve the single string bridge grounding issue? In other words, can I get away with only grounding one bridge and have the ground carry through the nut to the three other strings?

Seems like that would be Nordstrand (although I have no personal experience.

    Sharp bass!

nordstrands with an audere preamp. that would be cool.

  7. I was just looking at this body on Warmoth! The GAS... it hurts.

    Sweet lookin' bass, man! Congrats!

Personally, I'd want to go with Fender reissue PU's. Passive. That thing just wouldn't be right active.

My god it's sexy though

  9. What color hardware are you going to put on it? Black or chrome?

Oh man is that thing sick! Congrats dude! I've been checking out building a custom Warmoth bass for a long time now, I can't wait to do that. Killer design and color choice. That should be a panty-dropper right there easy!

I thought about that for a long time, I decided on chrome for a more vintage look...but with single string bridges! Yeah, this one is all over the map. :D

  13. I would have a hard time deciding too. I think you made the right decision. I can't wait to see it all put together.

  15. If it was mine I'd use vol / blend / tone (or stacked treb/bass _ can you do that on passive?)

+1. This would be a really cool bass to leave virgin.

+1 on the Nordstrand pickups and +1 on the leaving it virgin.
You can always add pots later. Plus it will be loud, fat and clear. Its hard to back to pots after you take them out.

Virgin...Holy guacamole I never even considered that. Excellent idea. Wiring issues with combo pups?

  19. Yep -that's how to do it.

  20. +1 on the virgin idea
