QUOTE]
where did you get those knobs?
Here's one: Dinky J, swamp ash / quilted maple top / cherry burst, passive Bartolini's, USA Fender J neck 1990-ish. It came out heavier than I'd like - 10#! When I get around to it, I'm going to specify the weight I want (with the upcharge) and try it again. I can always put this body on ebay and move it out. I'm mainly a 5-stringer, so I don't play this bass much anyway. I have a Highway 1 P Bass that's around 8# - I like 8# a lot better.

Maple Neck/maple fingerboard.
Alder body.
Schaller tuner.
Gotoh 201 bridge.
Seymour Duncan SJB1 pickups.

I don't think you've got enough string wound round the tuning posts.

Yeah, that's the first thing I noticed was all those string wraps.
Does the bass stay in tune ok? Usually the goal is to have as few wraps as possible so that the wraps wont slip and stretch as much.
If you had a tremolo on that bass, it would never stay in tune.![]()
It stay in tune even after long hour gigs.
I did this on purpose so the strings sit at the bottom of tuning post to reduce string breaking and also to add tension to the E string.
