I always thought I liked jumbo: the bigger, the better. Then I played a Dingwall and the tiny little frets on them are just what I had been looking for but didn't know it.
I had my Warmoth neck made with 6230 and couldn't be happier with it.

I had my Warmoth neck made with 6230 and couldn't be happier with it.
Here's my new short scale G4 build. Roasted maple neck, roasted swamp ash body, Hipshot bridge, Bartolini pickups and Nordstrand preamp. It's been done about 2 weeks and I love it so far.
Still considering a Warhead medium scale neck for it though. All of the SS G4 pictures I saw beforehand didn't have the truss rod access on the body, so I bought the tiltback neck that had the truss rod nut at the headstock. When I receivd the body it came with the access cut which is there for no reason now and it bugs me, plus I just want to try a medium scale.
Still considering a Warhead medium scale neck for it though. By medium scale, you mean a 32" neck as opposed to a 30" neck?
I think I'd like to try one of those eventually, too.
Haven't started the finish yet (getting ready to tear it back down & spray it this weekend if the humidity cooperates) & have a couple other bling bits to nail down for it (headstock decal & modding or cutting a black guard for it in the shape of the paper template on top of the white guard in the pic below), but here's mine so far:
It's a 3lb 14oz short scale P roasted alder body w/ a maple/maple Warhead neck w/ SS6230 frets w/ some shaping of the headstock to take a bit of length off it & take the the sharp hooks off the high side. I also did a bit contouring to the back of the neck heel area of the body for additional comfort. Hardware is Hipshot Ultralites & brass B-style bridge, bone nut, EMG GZR PJ electronics, & DR Pure Blues .105-.045 strings for the moment.
It'll get a "natural +"/aged clear nitro lacquer finish for neck & body using StewMac Aged Clear toner sparingly & 7-9 coats of StewMac satin clear hand buffed/polished to a very comfy semi-gloss (assuming I successfully reproduce what I've managed to accomplish on a couple other Warmoth builds).
It still needs a bit of levelling on the middle of the 13th & 14th frets too, but all in all I'm extremely happy w/ the feel & sounds out of it so far

ThunderP finally progressing. Warmoth mahogany body, CTS volume pots, Gotoh Res-O-Lite 640Rs and DR Sunbeam lites on-hand. Musikraft neck in manufacture, Chinabuckers ordered. Gotoh bridge, battery box, CTS tone pot, Switchcraft input jack and football plate, and capacitors on order from Warmoth.
Yes, 32". I just want to try it. The current wait times are keeping me from doing it right away, and that's fine. The bass is nice to play now as it is.
I..... I couldn't help it. I just had to buy it. So, I seem to be on my way to building a Warmoth 32" P-Bass. I gotta get me some sort of neck now.. 
Just added this 30" Warmoth Roasted Flame Maple neck with Bubinga fretboard to my Warmoth short scale Jazz body. Got it back from the Luthier yesterday. New compensated brass nut was added also. It weighed 7 & 1/2 lbs when it had the 32" neck on it and this neck is a little lighter. Now the Bass weighs in at 7lbs. 
I got mine 99% (or completely if I forgo a headstock decal) done over the past couple weeks 
What tuners did you guys use?

Mine are Hipshot 1/2" Ultralites. I needed to enlarge the post holes a bit & dowel the pin holes but they feel great to me.
I used Schaller BM light mini clovers that I found online after searching for a while but I cant remember the site. I just remember it was hard to find them. The site was in Europe though.
You folks have read my mild complaining about the Warmoth necks I’ve purchased being thicker and heavier than expected.
I have a favor to ask... the latest, slim profile P bass neck, was not slim at all. And, I want to confirm my suspicions, and make sure they didn’t botch my order. Can any “slim” profile 34” scale neck owners use some digital calipers and measure the thickness (dead center) right behind the first fret and the 12th fret and post your findings, please?
I ask because I spent yesterday and today removing the thick gloss finish and a fair amount of maple off my blocked n bound neck seen in the pic below. All in all, after 4 coats of tru oil, the neck is exactly 0.12” thinner at both the 1st and 12th frets. BUT, it’s still thicker than Warmoth’s posted “slim profile” specs from their website. Funny thing is, my before-mod measurements are off from Warmoth’s by exactly the thickness of their fretboards: 0.25” . So, I think Warmoth is inadvertently misrepresenting their neck specs by forgetting to add in the .25” fretboard thickness, which is huge!

Oh, I also added a slight asymmetrical profile to it by removing a smidge more wood from the treble side.
So, don’t be afraid to take some 60 grit and reshape your necks. Just work your way through the grits and sand uniformly, taking your time and evaluating progress many times, along the way. I also rolled the edge of the fretboard binding. It was a sharp 90 degree edge and actually painful to play, cutting into my index finger. The fret ends had to be shaped too. Here’s a few after pics and one of a fret end before shaping.

That body was in the showcase for about 37 seconds-that will make for a nice looking bass! I would like roasted ash as well but want it from the showcase to avoid a bad mismatch of pieces/grain and want a traditional route for pick guard. Looking forward to seeing your build!I.....
