Bubinga is also a great choice! But I don't see either bubinga or canary in the neck builder options on their website. It might be worth calling Warmoth to see if they have enough on hand.

I don't want to get into the whole tonewoods debate but I think even Warmoth's own blind test video found there was some difference.
Annoyingly, it seems that canary bass necks aren't being offered at the moment. Anyone know why?
I was thinking of getting a paddle head neck and cutting to a slightly more modern headstock shape but apparently wenge is quite hard to work because it is brittle.

Good point, @tubby.twins. They might not offer it and therefore don't order any more of it, but that doesn't mean they don't have a bit left that hasn't been used yet. It's worth calling to find out.

dyed and finished by me. Pictures look very blue, but it's actually a dark turquoise.
Wenge neck with rosewood fretboard and azurite malachite inlay dots.
Pickups are EMG 35TWX.
Hipshot Ultralight tuning machines and Kickass bridge.
It's not as flashy as most of the Warmoth builds I see on here but it is absolutely fantastic.

Does anyone know of any builders that make necks to fit a short/medium scale warmoth body (2.25 inch neck pocket I think)?
my warmoth medium scale jazz isn’t getting any love because I don’t like the neck. The shorter scale length with the jazz bass nut creates (what I think to be) too much taper. I’d like something wider at the nut but they don’t offer that

* Warmoth birds eye maple neck with ebony fingerboard, graphite reinforcement rods, GraphTek Tusq nut, and Mother of Pearl side dots
* Hipshot Ultralite tuners and string retainer
* Custom headstock decals
* Neck finished with satin polyurethane on back, gloss polyurethane on headstock face
* Fender MIM standard plate bridge
* Custom neck plate (photo in Hawaii by me)
* Fender Custom Shop 60s pickups
* CTS 250K pots, Switchcraft output jack
* D'Addario strap pins

Just had my Warmoth holo-flake P-J Plek'ed and a brass nut installed. Plays, looks and sounds like a dream now!

My guess is no.
If you don't necessarily need a short or medium scale, you could try a vintage Peavey neck. The 21 fret, 34" scale translates into the same body length as the Warmoth short/medium scale. And the pockets match well too.
You might also consider commissioning a custom build.
Just finished this a couple of days ago— my short scale take on the Joe Dart bass made with Warmoth SSB parts. The body is one piece swamp ash and super light. After this pic I added a string retainer, but still need to get strap buttons on it. It plays and sound great. Really happy with how it came out.

It's been amusing bringing it back to the UK. Perhaps this is a generalisation but with a finish like holo flake, I feel like in the US it's just like "hell yeah!" and people intuitively get it. In the UK it's almost like it's a bit ostentatious. One setup guy was like "well at least no one's going to steal it" which is a very British indirect way of saying it's too much. And then at a different music store where it was Plek'ed (and the guys working there are really nice actually), it was referred to as "that Warmoth bass with the sort of sparkly finish" as if some aliens had left it here or something
I have one and it’s fantastic! It won’t be staying on the Bisonic P build seen in the pic. But, I wanted to hear what the bass was going to sound like, and mounted the rosewood neck.
