awesome bass! the grain on the neck looks a lot better than the one i got from warmoth! did you get the vintage tint on the neck too?

That is the Warmoth gloss finish. Any "vintage tint" is simply due to the 12 or so years that have transpired since it was applied.

I've been known to go to great lengths when I don't want to put screw holes into a purdy body. I've actually shaved the heads off of pick guard screws, SuperGlued them into the pickguard and attached it to the bass with double-sided tape.

That's a great idea ! I never thought of that , infact your new product line? Pgs with faker screws and sticky side . Ladies and Gentlemen Bottoms_Up vintage correct stick on P/g's

for me though that's not the issue , I just don't know what I like better

I'd put a guard on it, but I'd put one on that surrounds the pickup. But I'm a non-traditionalist, and wouldn't be surprised if nobody but me likes that idea.
