If you hang a shortscale bass up, how long until it is standard 34"?
1) Does it affect the warranties?
2) No torts. Who cares?

Perhaps Gibson have finally cured the problem of headstocks breaking off; make the neck out of rubber.

All Gibsons ... figures. It will stop when they reach the floor. Never seen a Fender stretch, and if it does, just get a new neck and screw it on!
My Luthier was telling me that wall hangers are bad for guitars and such. Something about it being hotter closer to the ceiling. I still use em.

I can't figure it out neither. Someday I'll learn how to play one of 'em, and maybe then we'll know!
I don't know about the cited reasons not to hang instruments on walls. I have one reason I use floor stands:
I'm afraid of them falling.

They make locking wall hangers I believe, but I also think you need to find studs in the walls to screw them into.
I bought a cheap 7 instrument stand off ebay awhile back and it's served me well, it easily fits 6-7 guitars/ basses even with an acoustic too.
The point is well made but still, it's a bit of a stretch.
