warning for parents - how to spot an Emo...

My point was that in certain genres they type cast characters-

Brooding dark character / emo

Heroic do gooder

Babe

Comic side kick

Muscle dumb guy

Hot Shot

and so on- pick a genre, anime, comics, TV, movies etc

I used to watch a lot of anime in college (my roomate was real big into it) Naruto (one of the animes they referenced) is about a Ninja prodigy/Denise the menace kid who owns everyone and eats Rammen, and has nothing to do with emo.

Ps. All anime sucks in English, and Naruto went totally downhill after episode 120 something and nobody cares about it anymore.

1. Anime isn't for nerds
2. Emo is a music genre and not a fashion trend
3. People like dressing certain ways, get over it. 'Don't understand how to be men' is pretty ignorant to say.

Also, if you've actually watched some animes in english the dubs are okay, like in DBZ and the Princess Mononoke movie.

This whole thread is fail. Aside from any good jokes made on the OP that I dont remember at this point.

Making fun of emus is SO last year... leave the damn birds alone, THEY CANT EVEN FLY!!! DONT YOU THINK THEYRE DOWN ON THEMSELVES ENOUGH ALREADY!!! The last thing they need is you guys being a bunch of jerks to them.

And I dont see the corelation to anime... has there ever been a famous anime emu? Cuz none come to mind. Anime sucks annyways... "lets forego the whole fluid movement thing... I got it! We'll animate in stills!" Ghey!

In the Western World, cartoons in general tend to be for kids, and anime is for nerds. We don't have Karel Zeman, we have Walt Disney, and that, like it or not, is our heritage (yes, mine and yours.)

Don't get your skinny jeans in a twist because someone on the internet is calling you a nerd.

Emo started out in the 80s as an offshoot of hardcore punk, not this pop-rock and screamo crap. Rites of Spring, Angel Hair, Moss Icon and the like are real emo.

Fall out Boy and the like are pop-rock.

Also, whats with the anime bashing? I thought on this forum if you didn't like something to didn't need to post something negative about it. I don't insult others for what they like.

Full metal Alchemist is another good sub and same with the Ghost in the shell series.
