warning for parents - how to spot an Emo...

That pic is fail. Can't even use the correct word, you're in this case.:hmm:

I'm far from emo. I'm just defending Anime, and when it comes to anime I enjoy my giant robots and Cyberpunk stuff, and lately I've been watching some music related ones. and I thought the picture was funny. I couldn't post the one I wanted to.

and Mexico declared war on emost las year

:D

I was badmouthing whoever created the picture, not you!

Emo started out in the 80s as an offshoot of hardcore punk, not this pop-rock and screamo crap. Rites of Spring, Angel Hair, Moss Icon and the like are real emo.

Fall out Boy and the like are pop-rock.

Also, whats with the anime bashing? I thought on this forum if you didn't like something to didn't need to post something negative about it. I don't insult others for what they like.

Not bashing anime in the slightest, I've got a bit of a nerd/geek streak in me (as do most of the other dudes here). Just calling a spade a spade, man.

P.S., if you want a good anime series, check out Kino's Journey.

Likewise, think about the handful of us that listen to Rites Of Spring and Sunny Day Real Estate compared to the millions that listen to what they call Emo... the word has been co-opted, and the definition has changed.

Let our geek flags fly!

I love anime and like music or anything you can't broad brush it as this or that. Anime encompasses everything from Wholesome kiddy stuff to raw porn. It's just a medium. It just means animation. Manga means book. It's what ever the creator makes it.

Now anyone see Axis Powers Hetalia before it was cancelled?
