Even if you could do this, how is it possible to control where and WHEN you wind up?

The key, and what a lot of people are missing is that you need to push a sinusoidal waveform through the flux capacitor or the Hawking's radiation will annihilate your subspace tachyon beams.
The Alcubierre Drive is a nice workaround of that problem. You don't have to accelerate the ship at all. Just warp spacetime until you get there...
it was all listed in the link, i cant help it if you choose to be uninformed.

D'oh! of course!!
And we all know it requires little or no energy to warp space-time. Hell, Im doing it right now. And not even breaking a sweat.![]()

The interesting thing with this device is that the basic concept is understood quite well. But there's a missing piece, exotic matter, that may not exist. But if it does it's entirely reasonable to think that the finding of exotic matter could lead to a warp drive within a decade. The problem is (a) discovering it (b) if it exists.
what's the best warp in space-time for metal?

I think the exotic matter your looking for would be" Dylithium crystals " would it not?
