Just got this one. Needed some TLC.
Plays great

That's killer!!! I have essentially the same setup in a neck-thru. I keep the mid switch in the middle (500hz I think) position. I roll the balance just barely to the bridge (5%-10%), boost the mids about 20%, boost the bass about 20%, and boost the treble about 10%. Great tone with that setting.

This is a brand that has went quiet on here for a long time. Warriors used to be one of the most loved and respected basses money could buy but it seams as though they have fallen a little over the last couple years. I really like how they play and sound when you find a good one though.

Question
My Warrior JD Signature 4 has a Bart X44J1-B at the Bridge.
Also an MMC at the Neck

The X44J1-B is normally used at the neck with the -B designation and a -T is normally used at the Bridge.
I'm curious if anyone else has a -B at the bridge and what the purpose of using a neck pickup at the bridge would be.

I’ve owned probably 50 Basses in my 30 years of playing. Nice Basses. High end Basses. I’ve never owned a bass as long as I’ve owned my Warrior. It speaks to me.

Saturday, I’m dropping it off to get the guts changed, which makes me nervous, but from everything I’ve heard, I’m going to love it.

There is no doubt JD can make some of the best basses in the world when he puts all his attention into one. I’ve had some that was a good as anything I’ve ever had in my hands. Nordstrand electronics would be a great addition IMO.

I got the 3B-4b, which is a 3 band, 4-knob setup. The new setup will be stacked vol/tone, balance, stacked bass/treble, mid (pull for 1k, down for 400hz), active/passive switch.

My luthier says the same thing. He has used and installed everything, and he said it is head and shoulders above everything else.

I've owned and used just about every preamp on the market with the exception of Darkglass and it is by far my favorite. Same thing for Carey Nordstrands Preamp pedal the "Nordstrand Starlifter". It is the best pedal Preamp-Di I've used.
