Warrior Club Part 2

This is the finish my bass will be getting. It will have a matching finish on the headstock and there may possibly be bursting on the maple block inlays, pickup covers and wooden knobs. Mixed black/gold hardware.

Beautiful finish!

That should be an awesome looking bass.

I'm still amazed with how well my Warrior plays. I've owned & played some great playing basses but the Warrior 5 that I have is just amazing.

î can afford to make mine made, and the one i got was bought used, but it must be wonderful to be in the process of having a warrior made for you and see the differents stages of construction, your "precioussssssss".

I was like a kid in a candy shop jex. I know the process but I've never actually seen it before. Jd gave me a personal tour of the shop and I got to talk to him about how he got started and whatnot as he took me through each stage of the build.
Its a pretty small operation, no more than a half a dozen guys plus jd. Everyone was really close. His family dropped in and the whole shop had lunch over the tech bench. :)
Afterwards, I got to meet with the Guy that does all their finish to go over, in detail, how my bass would look when we was done with it. Then it was off to the gallery to jam on every bass they had on the wall for an hour. GREAT crew out there. I got to see a lot of new features coming to the 2011 warriors and I can difenately say that everyone there has a passion for luthiery.

That wheel trussrod adjuster is the greatest thing ever. I can do neck adjustments in like 4 seconds . . . not that I ever have to do one on this thing. The only time I do them is when the weather changes, which is necessary on basses in Ohio.

On a separate note, I thought Pat Wilkins did most of the finishes for Warrior.

suppose I'd like to see if anyone on this thread is interested before I actually think about listing one. Both are 2010's and loaded up.

Dran Michael 5 neck-thru, black walnut, 5pc neck-thru, purfling on fretboard edges

Soldier Custom 5 BO, spalt top w gloss burst finish, custom abalone cross inlays, 7 pc neck

Did you ever get that blue and black? I looked for it at the shop but didn't see it
