So I played my walnut Warrior this morning and it sounded great.
Then I pulled out my quilt maple Warrior (with flats) and it also sounded great. A few minutes later I pulled out my walnut Warrior again, plugged it up and no output.
And it wouldn’t work in passive mode either so I’m thinking output jack!
So, I removed the rear access cover and inspected the output jack and
one of the pins to the Neutrik jack backed out of the housing. This apparently happened unplugging the cord.
You might want to be aware that this can happen. My first thought is maybe I could reinstall it so I unscrewed the jack and quickly found out that the ground wires connected to the jack were too short to allow removing the jack. So, knowing nothing about the Neutrik jacks, I had to desolder the ground wires so I could get a good look at the rear of the Neutrik jack. It turns out that I probably could reinsert the pin and that corrected the problem without removing the jack but I just couldn’t get a good look at the rear of the jack. Of course then I had to connect all of the bare ground wires together and add a longer insulated ground wire to the bare ground wires so it would be easier to replace the jack with a new one (in the future).
I ordered two of the Neutrik brand jacks because I’m not confident that the pin will stay seated in the jack housing.
Anyone else had this issue with a Neutrik jack?
