Warwick Corvette Double Buck for a Musicman Sterling SB14?

Hey guys. I'm thinking of trading my Corvette Double Buck with a guy living near me for his Sterling SB14. Any opinions on the differences between both basses? Comparisons?

Is your Warwick a rock bass or a german made? If it's a rock bass, I'd say go for it. If it's a German 'wick, no way.

I have to agree with the previous poster. The corvette rockbasses I have played are a small step down from the Sterling by Musicman, and so that would work in your favor. However, the German built $$ models sell for more used, than the SB14 does new. If you prefer the SB14 sound/feel to a German Warwick, ask for some cash from the SB14 owner. If you have a bit of cash you could even try and trade your $$ for a made in America Music Man Sterling. Or sell your $$, buy a SB14 used, and pocket the difference.
If it is German, you could even keep your Warwick $$, it is a hell of a bass. After 6 months with my $$ I keep finding new great tones.
Of course the above statements are all IMO and IME.

Oh yeah, comparisons, not just financial analysis. Corvette necks are unfinished, Sterlings are finished. Sterling neck should be thinner, but that difference varies with what year the Corvette is. Newer Corvettes have more jazz like neck profiles. The Corvette has a wider variety of tones. However, the SB14 should have a likeable sound for almost any situation. I agree. If it's a Rockbass, yes. If it's German made, no way without substantial $$ (pun intended) plus the SB14, which is an amazing sounding bass!
