Waxing the neck and fingerboard depends primarily on the type of wood. I've always waxed ovangkol necks and it's worked great and never caused a problem. Stays smooth, slick, and fast. Not at all sticky. Wenge, on the other hand, I have always read to not wax as it is an oily wood in itself, and the oils from your hands is sufficient to maintain. Wenge fingerboards I have never waxed either, but I do apply a little lemon oil and wipe it down to good effect. Ebony I don't wax either, again just using a little lemon oil sometimes to clean it up when necessary. I haven't owned a maple neck Warwick before, so I'm not sure if that would need waxed or not, but the maple body Warwicks do (as always, when it is a natural finish...do not wax if it has the stained or colored oil finish!), so I would assume the neck's could be waxed.
Safest thing to do is use a little bit in an inconspicuous area (maybe right at the neck joint) where you don't see it or play, and see how it turns out. If it gets sticky or causes an issue, it's a lot less of an issue than just blindly putting wax all over everything and finding out later. I had a Streamer Pro M with a colored finish that the previous owner had waxed....it didn't look horrible, but it definitely gave it a messed up sheen that couldn't get removed.
