that beast behind me helps though...
I have yet to see anyone gig with a Pedulla Rapture (not saying that people aren't) But it's smooth tone makes me doubtful that it can cut through a mix properly.
I'm thinking this dude is cuttin' through just fine with that smooooth tone.

Yes, that 1200 watt Genz Benz might factor into you cutting through all nice & buttery like. It appears that you are playing through either two 2x10's or a 2x10 + 115 + P.A. support.
You could've easily substitued your Pedulla for a ukele and got your point across with that rig.

For the original posters price range, MTD's Z line of basses are just about neck & neck quality wise, with the Pedulla Rapture's, imo.
As a former Z owner I couldn't disagree more...from a surface glance it's a perfectly nice looking instrument - but when you start to give it a closer look you'll start to see where the Korean mass production factor comes in. Thin veneer laminate, hardware shortcuts here and there, and a preamp that is not exactly beloved by a good number of people here on TB (including me, after about six months of trial). And yes they do go through setup at the MTD shop in NY.
Whereas EVERY Pedulla is made by Mike and a few others at a rate of roughly 120-150 instruments a year, give or take - without shortcuts or compromises in quality to meet a certain price point. For the same money, I'd take a Rapture sight unseen over a Z. No question.
