I have a 96 Streamer Stage II 5 that has developed a strange problem where after plugging the bass in, after a few minutes the output fades to near nothing. The issue is not the batteries and it does this in both active AND passive mode. The weird thing is, if I unplug the bass for a while and plug it back in it will work again for a minute or so then, it goes out again.
It seems like a logical guess that the issue is the preamp however, again the problem exists in both active AND passive mode.
I've done the following:
- Replaced the batteries
- Tried different cables
- Tried different amps
Has anyone had this issue before and if so, what was the answer?
