warwick vampyre serial number

ive had this warwick vampyre for a few months and i think it is awesome it plays amazingly and has a gorgeous tone to it. well i picked it up second hand and havent really thought a lot into it until a few days ago when my balance knob seemed to turn into a volume knob and i felt like i lost a chunk of my sound. so the i thought "hmm ill get on the warwick site and run it by a tech and see whats up" so i got on and saw a link to check your serial number and i wanted to have everything written down as far as exact model and all. so i put in my serial number exactly like they have the template and baam.. "serial number not found" and after 30 minutes of trying different possibilities and thinking about it to no avail.. i started to ask myself if mine could be some kind of a really really good fake.. so i figured before i lost too much sleep id throw it out here and see if maybe its just something with the site or what. thank you for your time ImageUploadedByTalkBass1367206509.057306.jpgImageUploadedByTalkBass1367206538.979833.jpg

I may be wrong, but I believe the serial number search on the Warwick website only works for German made basses. I think the "RB" in your serial number indicates it is a Rockbass which is not German made. Someone with more experience may be able to chime in. Its a great looking bass.

I have such the deal for you...send it to me, and I will confirm that it is a real 'wick.
I will send it back after my next gig... See what a nice guy I am...

does your tone pot have a number on it? I made a deal for a bunch of old pots. If I have the right one, you can have it for the cost of shipping.

hmmm so you would test it? sweet sounds like a good plan... but anyways its my balance pot instead of tone and i cant make out a number on it anywhere without yanking it out. its the one on the bottom left compared to the tone on the top right. ImageUploadedByTalkBass1367376781.320975.jpg

wonderful news.. still have no idea about the serial number but i honestly dont care anymore because i plugged it in when i got home today to demonstrate my problem to a fellow bassist and then.... BAM. works just fine and ive been jamming for hours. dont know how i can thank the little gremlins for fixing it but im glad they did last night
