Was I ever wrong!

More gear and tone related but i thought:
- Class AB amps sounds fuller than Class D
- Nickel strings are better
- Cut thoses low mids freqs!
- 1x38cm bass cab is enough
- Fender basses ... ewwwww
- Ampeg amps ... ewwwww

Now:
- I play on class D amp, on steel strings and i use a pickup configuration that is full of low mids.
Also 38cm speakers are good but not enough sensitives, so 4x25cm cabs are far better.

I still don't like Fender and ampeg and MM.

I thought P basses were bad because my first one was a Squier Affinity and it may have been the worst one ever produced.
After 15 years I have two.
I thought 5 strings were better than 4 because, well, add them! Isn’t more better?
I thought Just because it says Ibanez on the headstock it would suck.
Things and views change.
Apparently some of us can grow and accept a little change.
Cheers!

I thought hauling around a double bass was a huge pain in the neck. It has prevented me from even thinking about buying one.

Yesterday, I passed a guy in a convertible with the top down and the double bass in a gig bag taking up the whole back seat with the neck hanging out over the passenger side. ;)
Great solution. I now need a convertible. And a double bass. Win/Win!!!!!

I naturally thought cheaper basses would sound cheaper, but when I bought my Squire Vintage Modified Jazz _ also tried other more expensive bases and found the tone and the general way it played was better than the more expensive ones I tried - and one of those was a musicman sterling stingray.
