Washburn Club!

New member? I play a washburn XB-500 in black finish.
It was/is actually my second bass and my very first 5-string. I started with a 4string squier jazz bass and switched to the XB-500 around 10 or 11 years ago. It was quite an expensive instrument (about 600 euros).
I now use the washburn as backup. I always loved the neck and how the whole instrument perfectly fits to my hands/fingers. With my last band (in the foto) we played alternative rock with lots of punk elements and I loved the bit of overdrive that the preamp of the washburn created. Now with my new band I need much more fat sound without overdrive and so I switched to an Ibanez, but my washburn is still used for practicing at home and jamming! In my opinion, washburn basses are underrated.
PS: the Mesa stack in the background is (regrettably) not mine, the trace elliot amp in contrast luckily (still) is!

Hey, I just posted in the "other" Washburn Club thread. I didn't realize there are two of them!? Anyway, here's my latest acquisition, kind of the big sister to the fiver.
Also, any help on figuring out these switches would be appreciated:
The electronics in this bass are, of course, Bartolini, but some are specific to Washburn, such as the pickups. It has an NTCT preamp with a W3C mid-boost module.

It seems both of the old Washburn club threads have died. People occasionally asking for numbers, but no one handing them out.
