My high school bought one of those right after I graduated. I got to play with it awhile back, and was very impressed with it, for the price. Had a nice, comfortable, satin-finish neck, and a warm, smooth sound. If I remember, it was also passive with separate tone controls for each pickup. I believe they paid a little over 400 for a 4-string, so that's a solid deal there.
I'm kicking myself for missing this. This was actually the next bass I planned on buying. How much was it? At least now I know to check that page(daily!!)
You're gonna kick yourself when you hear this, but... it was $299. Sorry you missed it man, we all know how that goes.
