Well, I'm an old guy so the umbilical connection to my cell phone wasn't installed; I'm not going to heave the thing out of my pocket and wake it up just to see what time it is, not when I can rotate my forearm 90 degrees and have the answer in an instant. (Of course, I also know how to tell time on a standard clock with hands.)

If I'm going to have to pull my timepiece out of my pocket to check the time, it had better have a gold hunter case, engraved, and be at the end of a gold chain with an enameled lodge pin fob.

Switched from a wristwatch to a pocket watch when I was 18. Got some great reactions when someone asked me for the time at a bus station. I got my first mobile phone a few months later and it sadly displaced the watch, as it really was the same level of convenience/inconvenience as the pocket watch. I got back into wristwatches in my 30s and feel naked without one again.

I wore a wristwatch in high school in thr mid 80s. It was a hand me down from my dad - some generic Timex. He stopped wearing it when he got out of the service after Nam.

I also wore a necklace, rings, and other shiny trinkets because I was a pretentious doosh when I was younger.

When I started working on cars after high school I stopped wearing foreign objects on my body that could get all banged up. But I was more concerned about getting things caught in moving engine parts.

I usually carry the watch around with me now that I'm in my 50s. It's more like a pocket watch, though, because the wrist band is gone and I haven't felt the need to replace it.

It still works.

When I was young, then into my teenage years, I wore watches. Loved the twist-o-flex watchbands when they came out LOL.

20 years of maintenance on military aircraft meant sporadic wearing, mainly worn only at home.

Afterward, having always worn the watch on the outside of my wrist (the 'normal' way, I suppose), I broke one on something. Started wearing them to the inside of my wrist. Which, as a side benefit, made it easy to see the time during a gig as my wrist was always facing me LOL.

Eventually quit wearing them. Haven't worn a watch in easily over 10 years.

So, as the survery asks, "No. A watch? What am I? Old?", I gotta go with yes, I'm old LOL.
