Waxing Warwicks

I just purchased a Warwick Corvette Standard and was wondering if it's true that you have to wax it constantly or just a few times to get it going and then every few months or so? Thanks and any suggestions on the bass itself in relation to care, type of strings, etc, would be appreciated.

What body wood does it have? Bubinga? You should follow the manual that came with it. Very informative. It would depend on how much you play it and under what conditions as well. If it is the bubinga body then try the DR Hi Beams. I swear they are made for my Corvette Standard while other strings just don't suit it.

I have a corvette standard in ash and i'll be honnest i havent waxed it very frequently at all. To start with i didnt get a tin of wax with it so by the time I ordered one it was a month late. Im now at college and the wick is back home and so i only get to see it every 2 months or so when i so it gets a wax but most of the time it just sits in the gigbag.

I cant say that I've noticed any any problems with not waxing it tho I'm scared that one time i'll come home and it will be ruined

u have to wax them every weak, one year, so calculate how many times u gotta wax it...
But then, its gona be a hell of a nice protective "finish".
Well, thats the price for the sound of wood
