Can't you just buy a dumptruck of electricity at wholesale price? That would seem to save you a bit. You might need some place to store it all, but you can build a cheap shed for pennies. Just make sure you use it all before it spoils.

If I could catch the delivery guy I could tell him I want to buy in bulk but he's elusive.

Here in the Northwest we pay very little for power, but my family is unfortunate enough to have our heating, stove, dryer, and hot water all run off of propane. It's one ugly bill every time we have to get the tank filled.
