We got bumped for.....Pitbull?

Again, I ask where I insulted you after I made an public apology for my agreed harsh comment.
And then agreed that maybe it I did take a personal shot which I fail to see to be honest, but again, apologised for it.

And I still would like to know how I insulted someone for saying they were out of tune?
That's not an insult, it's a fact.

Please, since Voiceless refuses to directly point out how I insulted him, or his guitar player, would someone else?

And I'm yet to hear Voiceless acknowledge his "better than you" comment as being wrong and a pretty big insult. But yet, will cling to things he claims as insults which are pretty trivial compared to that.

Again, Voiceless, stand up and call me out. If you can.

Hey Buddy,

You win, I'm outta here. You are the biggest loser,,, I mean the meanest,,,, I mean hey your not better then any bass players right??? LOL Just kidding, I'm sorry for anything I said you don't agree with.

LOL!! its all in good fun. You should try and see what you can dig up on me, maybe you can cyber hack me since I am such an evil person.

Best, Troy

CYBER HACK

Well all I can say is that, for me its pretty lame for a bass player to not play a part that is such a big riff in the bass world. For my eighties band I transpose keyboard parts to the bass. I really don't see this being the same as not playing a part for your instrument.

It's EXACTLY the same. In the other band, the guitar played the bass part. In your band, the bass plays the keyboard part. They are identical situations. The point is, there's nothing wrong with either situation. If it sounds good, who cares which instrument played it? Maybe a keyboard player in the audience would boo you. If they did, they would be an idiot.

I win???. Well yeah. Because you got nothing.
Try to take a high road and you have just proved to me that you have, well nothing again.
Can't even point out where you claimed you were wronged.

I'll go there, and to be honest I never have before because honestly, your kinda a jerk.
I could take your gig- any of them, but you couldn't take mine......just sayin'
LOL!! Just kidding.

Besides TB and maybe looking into someone so I can honestly make educated comments on them, like clicking a link in you profile, I could care less about you or your band(s).

Again, if you have ANYTHING to back anything up, bring it.
But you don't.

So, have a great day Troy!
All the best to you buddy!

can happen to even Tommy Lee,

This guy is a joke. Drummers don't think much of him, why do bass players? He gets boo'd because he deserves it, go look up some videos of him being a "DJ"......

Here you really need to understand that in "YOUR" world, metillica may be important and the riff may hold personal meaning for "YOU" but a lot of us don't listen to them EVER. and we are not missing anything. no more than I'm missing by not listening to Rickey Martins "live'n la vida loco" which gained a LOT more mainstream popularity.

You might not agree but it is entirely possible to be a headbanging rocker and not EVER listen to them. There was metal before them, there is metal after them and I don't see where they really impacted the style other than they were really popular, which brings me back to bologna.....

Troy (IF that is your real name :eyebrow: ) We mean you no ill will and nobody is going to cyber stalk you. Don't take it to heart, I'm sure you are not a bad guy and we are not out to get you.

Hope you have a good day.... (I'm going to see Wooten Tonight!!!)

Hey Jive,
Not looking to get stank with you, I like most of you posts. Well all I can say is that, for me its pretty lame for a bass player to not play a part that is such a big riff in the bass world. For my eighties band I transpose keyboard parts to the bass. I really don't see this being the same as not playing a part for your instrument. But again, I am way too invested in this.

Not looking to get into a stank either. But, we're bass players who dig Metal so the intro to Bells means more to us. But for some keyboard geek whose into vintage synths, the lack of a synth part may mean more to them than us.

What's more important is that we get the booties shaking and the mouths drinking.

Oh dear.....I apologise to everyone, since it was my comments made towards The Voiceless that started this. If I was out of line there I apologise.

The Voiceless, you may well be a better bass player than me, you may well be more intelligent than me. This doesn't particularly bother me. I play bass well enough to play in a band signed to one of the biggest metal record labels out there (Metal Blade records) while still managing to do my Masters Degree in Chemistry, with my PhD position secured. Thats enough bass playing ability and enough intelligence to get me by in my life. I'm well aware there are a LOT of much more intelligent guys out there than me, and a LOT of guys out there who absolutely smoke me on bass. Maybe you're one of them! This doesn't have any effect on my life whatsoever. My happiness is dependant on achieving my personal goals and doing my best.

Its always good to remember that no matter how good you are, theres someone better out there.

Well, there it is!

Good stuff man! Dig your band!

No need to apologize to anyone - this has been one of the most entertaining threads of the year!

Your sentiments sum up exactly how I was trained - no matter where you are in life with anything, there is always someone out there who will be better, have more, etc. Just know where you are, and strive for improvement constantly, and you will be OK. There is room for everyone at every level of the spectrum.

While I'm not into metal, I appreciate it very much. Your stuff is great.

At least he booed a musical performance, something that can happen to even Tommy Lee, which I saw first hand, but I guess just because Tommy Lee is successful its ok, or its not ok to boo???

Correct - it's NOT ok to boo. Not for merely mediocre performance (I mean - if they insult your mom or something, that is different).

Vote with your dollar, don't go see the band again, whatever - but booing or taunting bands (or actors, or any other performers) is as low class as it comes.

Dear Jive,

This has nothing to do with your post. I just wanted to say that you'd look great with an 'evil Spock' beard. Don't ask me why, but for some reason when I was scrolling past your post and saw your avatar my brain automatically inserted one over your pic.

Sincerely,
Jmatt
