We got bumped for.....Pitbull?

Aww shucks Commreman and MikeBass! Thanks to both of you. I play metal because I like playing metal, but I don't get bogged down in the whole, "I don't care what anyone else thinks" thing, I like when my music brings some sort of enjoyment to others.

Since neither of you guys are into metal particularly, you may be more interested in a track from our newest album. Its an acoustic song, heavily inspired by the Irish folk form of ballad. I really enjoyed recording it, acoustic music was a new thing fr me and it was my first ever recorded improvisation! Should be putting samples up as soon as the album is officially announced with a release date.

Your music was so angry, juvenile, ill conceived, poorly written and violent I killed a kitten with my beret

/smug jazz guy

Whoa now......Bought "Ride the Lightning" & "Master of Puppets" when they came out.
Own Slayers "Reign in Blood" and countless others by seminal metal bands.
LOVE Queensryche (not the "Slient Lucidity" junk- Operation MindCrime is in rotation still to this day)
I grew up on 80's/90's metal (and hate to say some "hair" metal too......) and dig a good bunch now as well.

Sure some may be a little in the past, I haven't kept totally up on the latest as my musical tastes have changed a bit.

Played in quite a few heavy bands ala' Dream Theater, Queensryche.
But I still like heavy stuff regardless of the era.

One major common theme between Jazz and Metal is the excessive drug use.
Some of the major defining musicians in both were hardcore junkies.

So, does it make Jazz more "metal"????
Or Metal more "Jazz"?????

...and then recorded the event on an old 4 track reel to reel, figured out which mixahooplian augmented key it was in and transposed it for ten different instruments. Come hear it live this weekend at the run down bookstore.

Look man, it's mixolydian, just because I actually can transpose it to the Locrian mode of the Harmonic minor and you can't, that's no reason for you to get all pouty.

Also, It's a coffee shop, not a run down bookstore, much more trendy, just make sure you bring your beret.

Dear Jive,

This has nothing to do with your post. I just wanted to say that you'd look great with an 'evil Spock' beard. Don't ask me why, but for some reason when I was scrolling past your post and saw your avatar my brain automatically inserted one over your pic.

Sincerely,
Jmatt

Funny you mention that.

Here's a picture of me dressing up as one of my co-workers for Halloween. Sorta reminds me of Spock, now that you mention it.

I find your need to mention smoking weed constantly in your story despite it having nothing to do with the actual story very childish

actually on a second read through I find the entire story rather childish

The funny part of this story is if you click on his facebook link then go look on his wall where this is posted. This comment is listed at 7:24pm but they still showed up expecting to get to play. Immature and maybe a little bit dumb????:D

KILLJOY Killjoy will NOT be playing at oxygen in rocky point tonight. I repeat, do not go to oxygen unless you want to see pitbull. Yes, we've been double-boo ked with reggaeton singer pitbull.

i kinda liked the story myself, im not a smoker and i dont drink much anymore but if he wants to to each his own. hendrix did things that would kill the average person before every show (and yeah it did eventually kill him) but changed the world for the better. as far as booing the other bassist i filled in a band that wanted to play pearl jam metalica (the year they sold out) and anarchy in the uk and green hell back to back (for those who dont know they are almost the same song) i had a week and a half to figure out the basslines from the radio and practice them and found out the night before the show it was metal night and we didnt have a singer. we got booed and i loved it. we sucked but i had a blast. if you dont want to get booed play every song perfect and only play songs that everybody in the club wants to here.....or deal with it. thats part of being a musician. besides bassist are tough we can take it, its not like he was the singer.
