You play with alot of great players, if you truly wanted casino gigs, you could score them all day. I like the throw together stuff you do and the freedom to play outside the box. Dont quit that creativity.

Thank you. We're a happy bunch, it's true. And I am proud to be the weakest musician in Redhead. Even so, I'm not at all sure what we do in the clubs with a hundred or so friends would translate in a casino setting. Regardless, thanks for those kind words! I don't think of us as particularly creative, we're just having a good time.

We've sniffed around Foxwoods. But I don't think it will ever happen; we've never needed--and consequently do not have--an EPK or pro audio or video, so we can't present the appropriate professional package. And we're not a tribute band, we're just a bar band with a really good singer and an off-center sensibility. Not enough to make it at a casino.

There's a constant stream of people there. The trick is getting them to hang out for a while. The room turns, kind of like tables in a restaurant....at least on weeknights. Hope you make it back in! It's a local room for us. I live 10 minutes from Foxwoods and Mohegan. We play at both.

A professional video is very important. Your package could be a 'history of rock and blues' spanning a few decades. Write some clever copy, put up a few slides behind you, get a tight set list together, and you've got a show. It could happen!

After 7 years the tribute band I'm in, Petty Larceny, has finally moved up to the big time (at least for us). Last Thursday night we played two sets at the Atrium at Foxwoods Casino and Resort in Connecticut. The gig was fantastic, with a good crowd on hand to see us, and it was a ton of fun. A nice, roomy stage, a top pro setup, soundman and lightman, even a smoke machine in back of us. Drinks on the house, and they even fed us for free! The money was good as well. We played our hearts out, and we hope to return someday, sooner rather than later. Things are sure looking up for us!

We never got the chance to play at Sakura Tokyo. Something always seemed to come up! However, we will be playing at Indian Ranch on July 20. Come on down and check us out if you can.

Who did you have for FOH? Alexis is one of our faves.

I think it was Alexis. He did a great job of making us sound good. He even explained to me how I was standing in a "bass trap" with all the problems I was having with standing next to the subwoofer. He took care of things and it got better as the gig went on. I notice where you're standing on the stage. I think that if there's a next time (hope so!) I'll try to stand as far from the sub as I can.

You didn't have Alexis I guess....as she's a she . Yeah, the sub's on the stage are a recent change that followed a Taylor Dane show. They used to only use the ones that are built into the stage. Those, apparently, are no longer functional. You can get a hell of a bass build up if you're standing behind or beside one as Phred, our keyboardist/singer is in the pic. Between my amp and the sub, she often jokes that her molecular structure is getting rearranged.

what does his Ric look so small?

Phil is pretty tall, so he makes his Ric look smaller than it is. It's a Ric 12-string, which is an essential piece of equipment if you're in a Tom Petty tribute. I think we were playing either Free Fallin' or Learning To Fly in this picture.
