Weirdest (and most awesome) Bass designs

You know the ones I'm talking about... things like the Gene Simmons Battle Axe bass and what not but what else is out there that we may not have seen. This post has been inspired when i stumbled upon this

Here is an interesting design feature on my 1969 Bartell Hohner chambered body bass (predecessor to the black widow). See that screw just below the bridge pickup? That is a neck angle adjustment screw. The neck has a lower tier that extends inside the body to that adjustment screw. The neck pivots on two screws.

Not exactly a battle ax, but I think is it a unique design feature.
