Weirdest place your band has practiced...

this is an AWESOME thread.

By far, the two weirdest and most awesome places we used to rehearse at were:

1) the bathroom of our college music facility and theater. We got kicked out of the lecture rooms so many times and had to lug our equipment in and out that one time we just set up shop in bathroom / locker room in the basement. you can imagine the face of a kid who walked in to find a full live band rehearsing...

2) in the basement of an old house, which was an abandoned montessori school. the basement was totally rundown and creepy, with cobwebs and creepy paintings on the wall of purple elephants, complete with miniature sized chairs and children's books, including - our favorite - "Everybody poos"

for the Londoners:

a film lot in King's Cross
a squatted warehouse in Hackney

oh and recently my jazz band has taken to rehearsing in one of the lady singers' bedrooms. there's barely enough room for my upright.

My first and most recent band always practiced in the office of an Internet Hosting and generally everything computers company. They are the creators of TyBit, TyVille, a bunch of other crap, and they even host microsoft's internet server.
