In short - it was great. The crowd was big, and loved us. People actually printed up a 6 foot long Funkranomicon sign - and were holding it up. Members of the Ohio Players were grooving to our tunes backstage, and the band gave us a big shout-out during their set.
We joked about playing "Fire" as a soundcheck, but definitely did not do it.
We played well, individually and as a band. The grooves were solid and we had a great time. Their sound guy came onstage after our show looking for "that bass player" and gave me some really nice props on my groove and my tone.
What was I wearing? My funk hat, of course!
Oh, and after the show, 4 lovely young ladies came by and wanted their pictures taken with "the dude in the hat". Sorry, it was their camera and I don't have pics, so technically it didn't happen - but it was a lot of fun anyway
