well designed basses

Thier are alot of bass companies that have been raising the bar in looks and electronics. What bass company do you think has great looking basses and a great tone?;)

P.S- I been really digging Sage lately.:)

please if you could post pictures.

Dingwall. Those basses have captured my heart and eyes.

Ritter makes slick-looking basses, too. Maybe it's just that curl on the top horn.

as far as construction and cosmetics goes, my ibanez artcore blows my mind. it's got a near flawless sunburst, creme binding, and it plays soooo well. the stock hardware and frets are great too. the pickup was lacking so i replaced it, but for under $500 (with a case) this was a steal:)

I've always wanted one of those. I feel really stupid for not buying one when GC was blowing them out fo less than $250. :scowl:

Does it have a center block?

I KNOW my Wendler will be nice, because Dave does all the work himself, including hand carving the neck. Also it will be nice, because it is shaped like a violin....or like a "baby" upright.(Wish I could send pictures,)but if you want to see it in it's beginnings, look up WENDLER ANYONE (It's about on page 5 now.)

Wow, the Dingwalls use actual screws as saddles. This probably improves sustain, and somewhat cuts cost.

I think Conklin basses are very well designed. Even their mass produced Groove Tools line which are under $1,000.

Edit: Upon further observation, the saddles on the Dingwalls are not really screws. But they sure look like screws from afar.
