It also happens, my wonderful and long-suffering wife is a fan of Mona's, so it was doubly nice to meet her!

It's all good Big guy - but the wife reads here occassionally, and I don't need THAT headache, y'see!!! :p

Not to mention, if Mona happens to "lurk", I don't want her to get the wrong idea about us. She was far too cool a person to be that way about. That said, a bit of editing would be appreciated...:D (The "Waboritas" comment could be seen as being in very poor taste ;) )

Those are some sweet memories.
So are you going to start demanding mineral water, personal changing room, cashmire towels, etc. at the next Atlanta get-together ?
From crack dealer to living it large in Cali...Didn't Snoop Dog have the same story ?

Gard, that is too cool. Great pics.

I just got back from Vegas, and of all the shows to pick from, who do I go see? Sammy Hagar, of course, at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel (I spent waaay too much time at the Hard Rock). You're right, Sammy puts on a great show. For me, it was worth the $80 bucks to hear "Heavy Metal" live, which I'm sure just illustrates how pathetic I am. ;) Mona was awesome, although she got relegated to tambourine when Michael Anthony showed up to play all of the VH stuff, as well as an, um, "interesting," solo in "Bad Motor Scooter." Mona and the band rocked though.

according to his bio on www.allmusic.com he was 56 when you met him.

Its interesting to see creative musician types and their different personallities. Paul is spunky and outgoing, sammy is a party animal-type, and, I hope this doesn't ruin it for anyone, John Mayer is a hyper over analytical type. I like John Mayer's stuff.

Oooh, I forgot some creative musicians are just plain CRAZY!
