I saw this doubleneck Jazz bass at my favorite local independent music store. The owner told me it was a "PartsJazz," with two MIM necks on a custom body. The fretless neck has a standard Fender bridge, while the fretted neck has what seems to be a BadAss high mass bridge.

I picked it up for a few seconds, then quickly put it down!

$1200.

I think we all appreciate the ethics of the seller being straightforward about this being a parts bass and not having an original vintage body. Some unscrupulous dealers take advantage of inexperienced buyers.

The hue of the natural wood finish of the two headstocks, as well as the logo font styles thereupon, do not match.
Otherwise I would totally be into it.

Just to show how screwed up in the head I am, if this were mine I'd be looking into making it a fretless/ 8 string doubleneck This would be the 'encore' bass
