I have another thread ref. Bongos with just a couple of posts so, I thought that I'd give this a try.

I would like to hear about the diff. between the HH & HS p'up combos on the 5str.

I'm cool with the design but, OH, THE COLOR CHOICES!!!!!!

Yep- can't beat a Tort guard on Desert Gold! Replaced a Black Ice guard with Tort and a huge difference in the warmth of the whole look.

Does anyone know what the sweat bands on the neck accomplish? I've also noticed Victor Wooten has sweat bands on his bass necks too, among some other players I've seen on YouTube.

Back again, hopefully for the last time. Couldn't find a fretted bass that I liked more than my Skjold, so I sold everything off and picked this up for a hell of a deal. I live a strange circuitous life sometimes. A gold version of this bass was the first bass I ever ordered new for myself.

is the single humbucker bongo still sound good with the 3 band EQ ?

I got a deal at my local music store for a 6 strings, it have a small scratch on the back.

Also, most of the time, i usualy use the bridge pickup to get the sound that i like, in the single humbucker bongo there is no pickup near the bridge.

Anyway, im gonna try it saturday.
