Took apart and cleaned the Bongo last night. It looks a million times better. The fretboard looked horrible, she was certainly neglected. But I got it for a great price.

Now I need to get rid of that moonstone pickguard. I'm thinking white perl, I like high contrast.

Here's my Bongo 5 HHP posed next to her distant cousin.

So I've had my first Bongo, and first EBMM for a week now.

I can't say enough about this Bass, its truly amazing. The tonal variety you can get with just a couple quick knob changes is amazing. And this thing seems to play itself. I'm suddenly having no trouble playing riffs that gave me trouble on my previous basses. I'm pretty floored.

Ok, here is my BONGO 5 HH.
Even though it`s hard to find in a dark room :ninja:, I´m still amazed how greate this Bass feels and sounds espec. with a real loud band :D
The b-string is even punchier than the one on my Stingray 5 (and that is not the worst 5-string Bass ;) ) .

Congratulations! Now you are club member #109.
