You don't have a number. Are you "Bongoless" now?

Not yet. Tomorrow will be my last day with the bass and then she's heading to San Diego. I'll definitely miss her, but I'm wanting to make a transition into passive basses.

Here's my brand new bongo!
Picked her up on Wednesday

There aren't words to describe how I feel about this thing!
It is truly amazing!
This bass is on my GAS list.
Please put a set of DR black beauties on this.

I have a question for anyone here who loves both StingRays and Bongos: I'm a lifelong StingRay player, and I'll never quit. The StingRay sound is my sound.

But I LOVE the look of the Bongo, AND I'd love to play a 6. My question is: Does the Bongo REALLY copt StingRay sound? I DON'T mean "Does it do a passable imitation?", I mean does it nail it so well that I couldn't tell the difference in a blind test?

Before I bid on one sight-unseen (there are no dealers here in the remote WV mountains), I'd like to be a little more sure of what I'm in for.

Thanks!

I have both and I would say the Bongo 6 HS does not sound as the Stingray5, a bit different, but that musicman character is there for sure! And while I found my tone in the Stingray as you, I love both!

I have 3 stingrays and 2 bongos...all 4 strings....
The Bongo is a beast all by itself...
There is really nothing out there like it. IMO.
The 4 band Eq and 18V electronics are amazing.
I do prefer my HH over the single H.
I would really like to get an HS bongo at some point.

I've owned both -they definitely had different sounds in my opinion. Have to say I like the Bongo sound better.
