Well I just discovered stainless....a little help..

Dean Markley Helix SS are phenomenal. Thick, defined tone, plus exposed core on the e and a for better vibration and lower action. I love them on my peavey foundation (essentially a jazz copy). The first batch I got were bad, but Dean Markley's customer service was stellar with replacing my bad sets. Great strings, great company.

I was looking at these too....I was going to get a pack of nickels before I tried stainless....they even seem bright for nickels....my problem is I end up buying like 10 packs of strings and they end up sitting for years or I sell the bass or something...but I have like 30 packs of strings now! lol I need to sell a couple! So many string such little time! I dont know how you guys try all kinds of strings...I have 6 basses right now..play 6 hours a day...and still takes me forever to go through strings! I usually trade sell buy a new one every month....set it up with fresh strings...then they stay on there for 6 months!
You guys every try TI superalloy? they never die I had them on my main bass for a year and never had to change them! they never lose their tone!
Next week I am going to order the Helix and labellas....I was affraid the Helix would lack full tone and be more clanky....now I am dying to try those too!
I also have GHS big cores here I ordered last week and SIT tapercore.

I'm a big fan of stainless strings and Dean Markley Helix Stainless Steels are my current favorite.

All I use now are a Fodera Ultra Light SS strings. I buy them direct 10 packs at a time and they end up being cheaper than D'Addario, EBMM or GHS. They sound great send last a long time.

They are a bit rough and will chew thru frets, but not much different than most other SS strings.
