Wow, just kidding. I guess I won’t be joining the Wenge club. After multiple delays to the delivery window, UPS says it was damaged in delivery. Lovely to see after almost of month of waiting in anticipation.

Not the first time it’s happened with UPS and I know it won’t be the last either.

Here’s my Warmoth build, Wenge neck with Ebony fretboard mounted to a roasted swamp ash body…

mine arrived early. UPS did have a nice hole in the box and the neck was just packed in foam peanuts. Luckily no damage. It is nice. The fret work and beveling at first glance seems perfect. And here is the weight with no tuners yet.

I guess even here in wet and rainy Washington, now that the weather has gotten colder, the interior humidity has dropped. I'm starting to get fret sprout on the new wenge neck. I'll give it another week or two to settle in, then give it a file. No worries.
