Tuners are out for delivery! Ok so I finally found a high quality replacement for Warwick wax.

Gave it some nice color and the feel is incredible.
this piece is qsawn , Warmoth didn’t even have that in the specs which is typically additional monies.

My only complaint about Warmoth necks is that I prefer headstock end truss rod adjustment. I'd certainly live without that for as nice a neck as that one. Very nice.

My Warwick FNA, the difference a little bit of lemon oil made. The first picture is when I bought it. Second picture after I gave it some TLC. (Tender, Lemon, Care).

The neck was wenge.

Yes, now I look back at it, the dried out look does kinda look cool.

The funny thing with that headstock, although the back of it looked like wenge wood (because it was), the front looked and felt like it had a "plastic like" coating on it or similar. Nothing like my other Warwick wenge headstock.

yeah they have a peghead veneer. Its not Wenge. Its either a Holly or something similar or phenolic. Whatever it is it needs oil and wax too.

That's the word I was looking for....veneer.

the old 90's Warwick's (pre 95) supposedly is an Ebony veneer.
The newer ones is apparently a mix of wood fibre and some man made material.
