There is one Bass whammy on the Bay and it's at 7 bids an $405. So much for trying to get one used. I'd rather get the latest model and spend time recalibrating to get it as close to perfect as I can.

Yeah, we're playing a show in the city on the 28th

Well, I'm using a rickenbacker 4003 tuned to drop b or c# standard through a gk 1001rbII head I've got a fulltone bassdrive, a rat (with this mod http://www.diyguitaramp.com/rat.html ) I've got a few other gain pedals laying around, but i'm kind of limited on what i'm willing to haul across a couple trains (no car at the moment)

ooo id love to hear a rick going into these babies, and that rat mod sounds sick too, im down to hearing your gear. id also like to hear my schecter throug a GK so im down to coming over to ur place.

i'd bring my little big muff, odb-3, xp-100 and my schecter.

I posted 5 videos of Bass Whammy and the XP100. I did a travel around all the setting of both pedals, the only exception is the setting Whammy Down 1 Oct in the Bass Whammy...I missed this out!!!

Note: I made a few mistakes in some riffs, but in this case what is really important is to compare the sound of both pedals.

Pushead, you're a god. That is one of the most useful posts on this matter to date. I'm still watching it, so I'll comment later, but I just wanted to say thanks for now. Also, what are you using as your distortion? Actually, can you tell us your whole setup? It sounds freakin great.

and seeing these direct comparasins, i really really really really wish i didnt sell my bass whammy :crying:

and it would be a really simple lay out, it would have 4 buttons, a treadle, and a read out


1 button would be the bypass, then u would have two butons set side by side with teh read out on top of each button, the elft button would handle the toe up harmony and the button on the right would adjust the toe down harmony, and i say buttons and not dials because with buttons u can adjust it with your foot while playing... and the 4th button could be a memory bank that u could sift throug, and if u want to make a pitch shift, the left button would handle the ^/v and the right could handle the amount of steps or octaves.


hmmmmm this needs to be put into action, does digitech have a patent on the concept of a digital harmony/chord/pitch shift treadle?

They have a patent on the "Whammy" name and pedal, but not the actuall shifting effect. Boss' multi effect pedals have pitch shifting via pedal.
