Probably because the bass I had the longer, but I really, really like the Yamaha RBX 775 neck, I almost forgot how it feels, but I played an RBX A2 5 Strings and it just felt home to me. Amazing neck.

What 5 string bass has the best feeling/playing neck?

Yes, I've had quite good experiences with the BB series as well, particularly old ones, but I think the new (ultra expensive series) is awesome too.

I have 2 Skjold 5-ers (PSD '92 Off-Set and a Slayer) and they are both amazing. In fact, the neck on the Slayer is the finest I have ever played. In my opinion, Pete builds the best basses on the planet. Having said that, I am also a huge fan of the USA Peavey Cirrus 5-ers...I have owned several of them over the years and every one was very good. I currently have two Peavey USA Cirrus' (a stock ruby red and a Custom Shop) and I'll likely never part with either. In comparison, the Skjold necks are a more subtle "D" which widen out just a bit more above the 12th fret and are thus particularly good (and superior to the Cirrus') especially for tapping purposes.

I gotta chance to play a Brubaker 6 string jazz bass w/ full 19mm spacing, ash body, buckeye burl top. Beautiful instrument. The neck was amazing. That's the first Brubaker I've liked and I've had the pleasure of trying about 10 or so of his basses not including the brutes.
From my understanding Kevin has a variety of neck profiles to choose from when you are ordering a custom bass. His finishes are second to none and now that I know the neck profiles are optional, I'm definitely putting one on my wish list.

Bongo 5! Amazing neck profile, not too thin and not too thick, smooth satin finish, and 17.5mm spacing.
It is at least a third of an inch too shallow, but my Spector's neck is more comfortable than any other 5er I played.
for me it would be g&l l2500 neck, only reason i like the big fat necks.

I prefer really straight necks with a thin profile.
Best I have played are the Peavey Cirrus, the Laklands (5502 and 5560) and the Fender American Deluxe Jazz 2013.

I like a nice big handful (deep front-to-back), soft edges, 1 7/8" at the nut and 17-18mm spacing at the bridge, soft V or C shape, well-placed volute at the headstock, large treble side cutaway and smooth heel for upper-fret access, rock-solid stability, and even sustain and tonal response all the way across the fingerboard. 9 to 12" compound fb radius, or vintage Fender.
Dislikes: "U-shape" neck profiles with square corners and flat backs, super-wide fingerboards like some of the Squire V's, and extremes in trying to create a "faster" neck profile, whether it's super thin or super narrow. Dead spots and wolf notes. Flexible noodle-necks that offer poor sustain and/or tuning stability. Near-flat, 15 or 16" fb radius. Related issues: excessive overall weight that stresses my back and shoulders, poorly-placed strap attachments or body shapes that promote neck dive whether seated or standing, headless basses that don't provide a reference point for the first position.
Current favourites: The neck on the self-made 5-string in my Avatar, because it's been in my hand non-stop for the last 19 years, late 2000's Indonesian Ibanez ATK300's.
Promising future favourite: My still-on-order Dingwall ABZ-5. I tried a Combustion, and while I loved the fanned frets and fatness of the neck, it felt just a little "clubby" to me. I'm hoping that the slightly thinner ABZ profile will hit my sweet spot. Might even replace my number one!

I'm not sure what does it for me in a neck. I really like my Modulus but it's the only carbon fiber neck I've got so I can't compare.
I love my chunky G&L necks. I love the fat SX necks. I love the wide flat neck on my Squire P/J 5er. but go figure...I hate the neck on my Fender Jazz V but love the tiny thin necks on my Ibanez SRs. My Alembic 6er is very wide and fat and to me it's sort of Meh. My Carvin neck is OK. I'm not really positive or negative about it. My Ken Smith is an absolute killer bass, but I'm not that enthused over the profile on the neck.
And of course although I love fatter chunky necks, my pair of Wishbasses have the most hideous fat necks you ever played. But let's face it. You play a Wish for reasons other than the feel of the neck. One day I will trem them down just a tad.
