What actor played a role so iconicly that it's unimaginable anyone else could replace them?

Sad news breaking, that Treat Williams was just killed in a motorcycle accident.

Whilst these won't be the roles he's remembered for, two of my many favourites of his are :
Deep Rising
"Now what?"
Deep Rising is the best Star Wars spin-off movie in the entire franchise - it just isn't officially labelled "Star Wars". But it very definitely is the further adventures of Han Solo & Chewbacca (much like Kurt Russell channelling Clint, and The Duke; Treat is doing his interpretation of the infamous Corellian smuggler, and practically every line Kevin J. O'Connor utters is some kind of Wookie noise).
