What Amp Combo do you own?

At the moment I have a Markbass 121P, an SWR Workingmans 10,(old) and a GK mb200. (very old)

When I use my Sansamp Paradriver as a preamp, bypassing the pre in the SWR, it sounds really really really good.
The Markbass 121P is just a flat out champion

Late 80's Peavey Combo 300. Loud as hell, versatile, but weighs a ton. Built like a tank and it just keeps going...

Late 60's Contessa CA-15 Mini Bass. All tube with 12" speaker. Not terribly loud, but has great tone. Has required many repairs over the years.

Carvin BRX212
Our band hosted a "jam session" a few weeks ago. I had 3 different bassists play through this amp. All 3 wanted to know what that amp was after they finished playing through it. They all were shocked and amazed at the volume and sound produced by this "little" amp. One was another carvin user and the other 2 were SVT users.

Those were cool amps. Carvin made them for one, maybe two years?

I used one of these as a backline for a while. Very heavy, which is maybe why its on wheels. Sounded great. Really great. Killer slap tone if needed. Total pro piece of gear.
The Bassman 150 (single 12) was also a VERY nice combo at the price.

A GK MB210 now. Does a very nice job. And... would you believe... I still have my first combo amp (well, amp of any kind, really)... a Kasino Lounge! A bad 15" speaker and about a 40w amp. Weighs like 80lbs! Strictly for practice, of course.

Fender M80 Bass.

Sure, its a legacy piece of gear, but it seems bulletproof. And yeah, its a bit on the heavy side, but it just plain works for me. It'll fit in the trunk of the car, and I can lift it into there by myself. I added a Fender BXR-115 cab under it for gigging, and the 2 15s at a rated 160w will work for a smaller venue if the guitards and drummer mind their manners.

I use a GK MB112 for rehearsals, smaller gigs, and the studio when I want a tight punchy tone and my tc electronic BG250 1x15" when I want more bottom end and a more vintage tonality.

They can handle just about anything I need a combo for and I think they're two of the best bargains in the mid level combo market out there. In either case you can run direct to a FOH PA or to an additional powered cabinet if they gig calls for it.
