What amp under $1000 dollars goes GRRRR?

I think I will buy from the US and pay the postage, cause the stuff here, especially stuff like Hartke is way over $1000 
And also were would you recommend buying stuff off the used market from?

Where is local for ya mate? She's a big country. The freight quotes on that Trace rig I posted from ebay were very reasonable. There is a similar rig in Melbourne on the ebay. He wants 1600 for it including a nice looking bass.
I'm 1 for 2 buying used cabinets at auction, but the dud one was taken back at no cost tome as he was a commercial seller so I guess I'm 100% satisified buying used cabs unheard. That's mostly good luck with a little good management in that I didn't buy off completely random sources.
But you could could get a shady US dealer sending you a "new" store demoed cab that was beat up and there wouldn't be much to do about it.
My standard recomendation on best bass for buck applies. Build your own cabinets and get a cheap used SS power amp and a VT pedal.

Buy the GK and add a Tech21 VT Bass pedal. You'll have a very versatile setup that will definitely go GRRRRRRR.
Buy a 240V one or you'll be lugging a great transformer along everywhere. GK in Finland, or somewhere like that, got all snotty with someone lately and wouldn't retrofit a 240V GK power supply on a self imported amp so watch out on that.

The new GK micros and fusions are easily converted without transformers, do a search here and you will see.
I purchased a MB200 from the states and the shop i brought it from changed it over for free, it simple to do.
Half price even with delivery.

I wouldn't do anything less than 200 watts for a gig. Look at the Hartke LH series or a Gallien-Krueger head. You can save tons if you buy used. I recommend looking in the TB classifiends.
No milage in used gear from USA unless its multivoltage out of the box and lightweight modern switchmode power supply. Postage is too much, you might as well buy an Aussie one off ebay.au
Sure it is. But OP needs to go used cabinets or DIY new ones to have any chance of doing it with a new amp.
