What amps are you using for post-rock?

Yes, it is not 1975 anymore. Honestly, imo this type of music is where the spirit of punk went. The underground world of post-rock/metal is a very DIY environment. I know some of you old timers may think this music is "that newfangled stuff kids listen to" but as stated earlier it has been around for almost 20 years. Neurosis has been around for almost thirty, Mogwai for almost twenty. The best part about this music? It can't be destroyed by the radio and mtv, most people don't have the attention span for it so it's an acquired taste. Which is good, I hope it stays underground. As far as amps, use whatever as long as it is capable of punching you in chest with the boom boom.

haha, you should watch some programs on the bbc, they're absolutely littered with post rock

We have been called post-rock, and I wont disagree that there are elements of post-rock in what we do, but I like to think there's a fair bit of other influences. I'll let you decide... Ghost Box Orchestra

Nevertheless, I play through a Traynor YBA-200-2 and an old Traynor YC810 cab.
