For me it's a Mesa wd800 either 2 210 subway cabs or some barefaced cabs. I don't need any of it and I am satisfied with my current rig for now, but that how gas works

I actually have the opposite issue (well, I'm in the same boat as you with no $)

Extra $ is really hard for me to save up due to life happening. So when I'm broke I see all this stuff that I would love to have. When I actually have some $ I look at everything I wanted and realize I can only get a little bit. So it forces me to really evaluate everything because I dont know when I will have that $ again and I dont want to just fritter it away on whatever.

I'm in the same boat. I don't have much extra money laying around but I have a deal with my wife, I can spend the money I make on gigs on whatever gear I want. But I've definitely "frittered away" a lot on pickups, strings, necks, cases etc.

now I find myself planning my next purchases to save up for, even though I don't really need them. For example I have a Squier p bass, but have a bug in my brain that I should get a "proper" Fender. My bass is great, and a new one won't make me a better player. Yet I keep telling myself when I get it, the gas will go away. If I hadn't wasted the money on piddly little stuff, I might have it by now.
